  • Tom Van Daele

    Tom Van Daele started Publicis owned hot shop Duval Guillaume New York about 2 and a half years ago. To do so, he left his job as creative director and partner of independent agency 10 advertising. Together with GM David Simpson, he built the first Trans-Atlantic hub of Belgium's most important award winning advertising agency, servicing clients like The Topps Company, Bazooka Bubblegum, The Coca-Cola Company, Georgia Pacific, US Navy, ALESSI, Kagome fruit & vegetable drinks from Japan, Murine Earigate, Le Pain Quotidien, Lonsdale ...

    Van Daele's advertising journey has wound its way via LG&F Brussels, Ogilvy and 10 advertising where he has worked on the Coke and Fanta brands, Ford Motor Company, Proctor & Gamble, Bacardi, Jansport, Europ Assistance, Masterfoods, Unilever, among others.

    Van Daele, holds a BA degree from the St-Lukas Institute, Brussels and the Arts Institute of Bournemouth, England and also worked at Posttool Design and HGun Productions, San Francisco, California.

    Van Daele is also the inspiration behind the worldwide young creatives database, www.newcreatives.com, and founded the Miami Ad School Belgium, of which he is the director. In June 2007, Van Daele also was a guest speaker at the Cannes Lions Festival.

    When he's not working or collecting skymiles he's a Modern art and vintage watch aficionado, an avid reader and enjoys a good game of golf.


  • Elke Helbig

    Elke Helbig is an award winning lead interactive art director working for Belgium's biggest independent and most awarded advertising agency LG&F. Deviding her time between projects for the Brussels and Amsterdam offices, Elke worked on brands like Volkswagen, Vodafone, Bacardi/Martini (William Lawsons), Brussels Airlines (Virgin Express), Plan International, Axa Bank, among others.

    Prior to working at LG&F, Elke was an art director at that other leading award winning Belgian agency: Duval Guillaume. Before this she started her career as a junior art director at kids marketing agency, The Young Ones.

    During her first years of study Elke was already nominated for the Young Creatives award, and the succeeding year she actually took home Gold. That same year --while interning at TBWA-- she also won a special award for her work for Apple Computers. Her art direction for a booklet to launch a kids apparel brand was nominated for best Graphic Design, her concept for Dexia Bank's Art Gallery won Gold for Design. The website she made for Plan International won Gold at the Direct and Interactive Marketing awards and most recently she was awarded Gold at the national award show for her multi media design for talent management company Senses. This design also won Gold at the RMB Cyber Lions pre judging.

    Elke holds a Masters degree at the University of Brussels in communications. After graduating she left the commercial side of the business and followed her real passion: Creativity. Another 4 years of study --8 in total-- at the renowned Sint-Lukas Arts institute and an exchange program with the arts institute of Bournemouth, U.K. prepared her for what was about to come.

    With a father as award winning Director of Communications of a large European bank, a mother who runs one of Belgium's most renowned art galleries, a brother who's Digital Arts professor at a leading University, a sister who's a Graphic Designer at an International design firm, a sister-in-law who's a renowned Fashion designer, a brother- in-law who's a Graphic Designer and a boyfriend who's a Creative Director in an international Ad agency, she puts all her influences to good use.

    Besides her passion for creative culture and design, new music and contemporary art, Elke likes to be around friends, has a passion for good food and especially making it.


  • Serban Enache


  • Serban Enache is the co-founder of Dreamstime.com. As CEO and active Managing Director, Enache is responsible for the development and implementation of specific strategic plans (business, creative and marketing) and he oversees their operation. Serban and his associates have brought the three-year young stock photography company to platinum status within the industry.

    A graduate of the University of Architecture and Urban Planning (Bucharest, Romania) with a specialization in Form Representation & Interior Design Studies, Serban has worked exclusively in the design industry over the course of the last ten years. His concentration in the business has enabled him to combine his design and new media expertise with his creative and operational abilities to become a proven-successful industry executive.

    Prior to his full-time commitment to Dreamstime.com, Enache was co-founder and Creative Director of Archiweb, the company that developed and launched Dreamstime.com. As Creative Director of Archiweb, he was instrumental in the development and creation of establishing an online presence for a number of Fortune 500 companies including Xerox, Unilever and Despec. Since 1998, Archiweb has become an award-winning leader among web design companies in SE Europe.

    Since its launch in 2003, Dreamstime.com has become distinguished as a global photo community and established itself as a premier social, interactive networking outlet in the stock photography industry.

    The thirty-one year old Serban Enache lives in Bucharest, Romania with his wife and his two daughters.

  • Raffi Tarpinian

    Raffi Tarpinian started his career in graphic design in Montreal, Canada, as a freelance designer with local magazines and publications where his work started getting considerable attention and praise from local markets.

    Shortly after graduating from Dawson College in Montreal, Raffi moved to Los Angeles with the intention of gaining experience as well as exposure to new trends and design directions. His stay in Los Angeles proved to be quite rewarding where he had the opportunity to work on several high profile projects including computer games and advertising campaigns. His work also branched out to art directing photoshoots and packaging of new products.

    Currently, his work can be seen through the site Pixellogo.com of which he is both founder and Art Director. As Art Director, he concentrates on adding to the design industry of Montreal both through active participation in local venues and programs as well as hiring only local designers for the in-house staff of Liquid 2D.

    Outside of work, Raffi is a well known in the social circles of the Montreal Plateau area and among its artistic community.


  • Niklas Frings-Rupp

    Niklas Frings-Rupp started his career as an account manager working for agencies like DDB London, TBWA Germany, Springer & Jacoby and Jung von Matt. Over the years he worked for a large number of clients like BMW, Mini, Apple, Media Markt, GlaxoWelcome, Weihenstephan, Der Spiegel, Unicef and many more.

    In 2003 he founded Miami Ad School Europe together with Oliver Voss, one of Germany's leading creatives. The school started in an old hospital in Hamburg with only 12 students. Ever since the school grew rapidly and now has over 70 students with about 30 nationalities. Recently Niklas and Oliver expanded the school with opening part time locations in Stockholm, Vienna, Amsterdam and Brussels and are planning a school in Shanghai.

    After the second year the school was already the most awarded school in the world, collecting the top prizes at all major student award shows. Titles won by the students so far include; 2 x German "Student of the year", Dutch "Student of the year", the first ever L�erzers Archive "International Student of the Year" and last years "Student Young Gun of the Year".

    The school is the only advertising school outside of the US to be always mentioned in the Gunn report among the best advertising schools worldwide. Work done by students interning have resulted in 5 lions at Cannes, 5 pencils at the one show, Andy's, Clios, nominations and 2 pencils at D&AD and a couple more at the German ADC where he became member in 2006.

    In his spare time Niklas likes to race his dusty somewhat old Porsche on the German Autobahn and professional race tracks.
