SOLUTION:
Public Open University Rovinj is organizing cultural and entertaining events and educations inside the community of Rovinj (The town in Croatia). It stimulates creative use of free time, trying to teach people how to improve their education and life quality.
The solution is taking into consideration the area in witch the Open University operates: The city of Rovinj. Since the fruit pomegranate represents one of the main symbols of the city (it was used on the city emblem as well), the symbol of that fruit it is used as the base for the graphic solution. One of the main general benefits of Open University is the fact that it gives many opportunities of personal development in more aspects so it can also visually be connected with numerous berries of pomegranate, making the “unique fruit”.
However, pomegranate is not literally transmitted. According to need for wide application and contemporary content that Open University offers, the logo has its modern interpretation. We used colorful geometrical elements that can be differently combined through implementation, but at the same time the identity stays recognizable.
