The New York Public Library Centennial logo

2011 marked the centennial of The New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman building at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue. The theme, "Find the Future," is open to multiple interpretations; from our cultural development to personal growth to the Library's evolution as an organization. The NYPL's lion icon was leveraged to create a new identifier to be used on all centennial materials. The typography, set in the NYPL's house font Kievit, reflects the message and dynamism of a forward-thinking institution.
