Verna Motors
Logo details
This is the logo for an automobile company I created as part of a larger story I am writing. It is a “real” company in the sense that it has a history consistent with reality and is not a fantasy story. The logo here depicted is the one used by Verna Motors between 1928 and 1939.
I have included a picture of the vehicle it is associated with, which is designed after the principals of an automobile of the mid 1930s. The car is a 1935 Verna VI Series 321 V12 Phaeton. It is a high end luxury car designed to compete with Hispano Suiza, Cadillac and Packard. I have striven to make both the logo and the car plausible technologically and stylistically. I have purposely designed the logo with the idea of mid 1930s advertising, and have consciously kept away with postmodern advertising ideas.
