Brief from client
A vintage logo but with a whimsical feel as well as an elegant font included.
The main icon should have a depiction of a boy and a girl and maybe a hot air balloon. Soft pastel colors should be used.
This is for my side business that I do for fun. Selling ribbon made hair bows and bow ties and hopefully expanding to children's clothing in the near future.

Here is one version with plain circular eyes
Here is one with the ampersand directly centered to the rest of the type with the girl icon pushed over
Too much happening. The symbol is too complex. You don't have to tell the whole story of your brand in your logo. Just focus on a single symbol.
Typography is not good, because of the varied spacing. It's hard to put a few letters into a circular shape nicely. It's better to find a different solution.
I've been lurking this site for months, but felt the need to crawl out from under my rock for this one.
You might want to consider mirroring the girl logo, as to lessen the cluttering her bow is creating with the & symbol. Maybe even get rid of the hair on the side without the bow (after mirroring), for the same reason. You'll likely have more symmetry that way as well.
Font is OK. But the kerning on the bottom line looks way off, and is much wider than the top line. You'll want to still mess with that, and perhaps go with a sans serif, as I think tight kerning might be easier without the serifs.
Keep it up! I like the children logos, and the faces look a lot better now. Think the more oval eyes look best.
(and yes, i did see that initial reply before it was deleted ;^P )
sloppy photoshop edit for what I mean. :V
Alright, I think you have the faces in a pretty good spot.
But now you really, really need to work on the spacing and the typography. your kerning is all over the place still, and I'm not sure what's going on.
