if the weight of the symbol at same size I think it would be nice

I definitely prefer the symbol over the text as opposed to using it to make letters. Replacing letters with symbols most often makes the wording hard to read (and it does here as well). But you will probably need to bring the size of the symbol down a bit as to not overpower the name.
