Aerial℠
Aerial Communications, Inc. was a regional wireless carrier, established in Columbus OH, their first market, in March 1997. Later, the company expanded its network operations in Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Pittsburgh, and Tampa-St. Petersburg-Orlando markets. On May 4, 2000 Aerial Communications was acquired by VoiceStream Wireless along with Omnipoint Corporation, a regional network operator in the Northeastern United States, which was purchased earlier on February 25, 2000. On September 2, 2001, VoiceStream Wireless Inc. adopted the name, T-Mobile USA, Inc.
