Millenium (the millenium anniversary of the Holy Trinity Abbey and of the town of Cava de' Tirreni)
On 6th of July '07, the Town Council of Cava de' Tirreni, Italy, requested a logo to promote the town's image for the millenium anniversary of the Holy Trinity Abbey, founded in 1011, which at the same time contributed to the foundation of the town. The logo reflects its origins and as such expresses the geometrical relationship of two figures: an unbreakable bond that unites the precincts of Cava de’ Tirreni with the Benedictine Abbey. The profile of the benedictine St. Alferio is mounted, austere, father-like, on the vaults of the city’s “portici”, as if as it protects the city from above.
