Construction of the first paved runway at Paris-Orly; this runway "Number 3" is 2,100 metres long.

Air France leaves Paris-Le Bourget for Paris-Orly.
The Paris-Orly Airport receives 1.2 million passengers a year, twice as many as Paris-Le Bourget.

1953
The site of the Paris-Le Bourget Airport hosts the International Aviation and Space Salon.
First commercial helpdesk of Aéroport de Paris at Paris-Le Bourget Airport.

1958
First Boeing 707 from Pan Am at Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
The following year, Air France christened its first Caravelle at Paris-Orly.

1961
General de Gaulle, President of the Republic, inaugurated the South terminal at Paris-Orly on the 24th of February.
Since its commissioning, the new building at Paris-Orly Sud receives 9,000 passengers per day.

1962
Paris-Orly receives more visitors (3.4 million) than the Palace of Versailles.
Stars of the music hall and screen are photographed on the boarding ladder.

1965
Creation of the Paris-Nord Airport in Roissy on the 22nd of June.
At the end of the year, the South terminal at Paris-Orly approaches the six million passenger level.

1966
Four million people come to the Paris-Orly South terminal for lunch, or a stroll on the terrace to watch the planes take off or land.

1968
First air bridges for widebody doors. Paris-Orly demonstrates its ability to adapt to the arrival of jet aircraft.
In October of the preceding year, construction work of Paris-Orly Ouest began.

1969
The terminal at Paris-Orly Sud reaches the threshold of 9 million passengers, more than half of its theoretical capacity.
Arrival of "Jumbo" jet (the first Boeing 747 from Pan Am is placed at Paris-Orly. Traffic increases by over 15% per year.

1971
The terminal at Paris-Orly Ouest, designed by Henri Vicariot, opens its doors after 40 months of work.

1973
Debut of the Paris-CDG 2 Airport design, while Terminal 1 is not yet commissioned.

1974
Inauguration and commissioning of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, revolutionary with its terminal composed of a central cylindrical body and seven satellites.

1976
The Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport welcomes first commercial flight of the Concorde.
Inauguration of the RER station at the Paris-CDG Airport.
Aéroports de Paris breaks the 20 million passenger mark, representing a doubling in seven years

1977
Renovation of the Paris-Le Bourget Airport. Companies are gradually leaving Paris-Le Bourget to settle in the new Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

1982
Inauguration of Terminal 2A of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport by President Francois Mitterrand on the 24th of March.
The previous year, Terminal 2B was opened.

1986
Hall 4 of Paris-Orly Ouest is commissioned.

1987
Opening of the commercial area at Orlytech.
The following year, Aéroports de Paris exceeds the 40 million passenger level.
In eleven years, traffic has doubled.

1989
Decree of January 4 in which Article 6 states "The Aéroport de Paris will have the designation: Aéroports de Paris".
Opening of Terminal 2D at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

1990
Construction of Orlyval, which carries more than 2 million passengers per year.
Opening of Terminal T9 for charter flights at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

1991
The opening of Terminal 2C at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, entirely reserved for international traffic with computerised baggage sorting.
Commissioning of the Hall 1 of Paris-Orly Ouest, able to accommodate larger aircraft.

1993
The opening of Terminal 2C at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, entirely reserved for international traffic with computerised baggage sorting.

The Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport is the pioneer of intermodality between air and rail travel, whether it is TGV or the RER.

Implementation of a House of the Environment in Paris-Orly.
Air France transfers its registered office to the Roissypôle commercial area.

1998
Opening of runway 4 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, with a length of 2,7000 metres. It forms a southern doublet with runway 2.
Module 2F1 of Paris-Charles de Gaulle's Terminal F is commissioned.

1999
Module 2F2 of Paris-Charles de Gaulle's Terminal F is commissioned.

2002
The T3 terminal at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (formerly T9) doubles its area to hold departing passengers, and triples the area of its commercial space.
Between 2000 and 2002, total passenger traffic at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly fell by 2.8%.

2003
The sixth terminal at Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2 is commissioned; the "E" is used by Air France and SkyTeam alliance and is reserved for international traffic. It enables the docking of 18 aircraft.
In 2004, the traffic of Aéroports de Paris breaks the 75 million passenger level.

2005
The construction of a business airport at Paris-Le Bourget.
Transformation of Aéroports de Paris into a limited liability company.

2006
IPO and placement onto the market - June 2006.

2007
Commissioning of CDGVal, the automated metro, which since April 2007 has connected the CDG1 and CDG2 terminals.
Commissioning of the new boarding satellite "La Galerie Parisienne" at Terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle in June 2007.

2008
Commissioning of the new departure lounge at Terminal 2E of Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Opening of regional Terminal 2G, dedicated to French and European destinations, at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Aéroports de Paris and Schiphol Group create a leading alliance in the airport industry through a long-term industrial cooperation agreement and the taking of an 8% cross-shareholding position.

2009
The first auction of airline tickets for charity by Aéroports de Paris for the benefit of the Rêves association and conducted by the Artcurial house was successfully held at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. More than 100,000 euros will be donated to Rêves, which realizes the dreams of sick children.

February: launch of Duty Free Paris, a subsidiary owned in partnership with The Nuance Group, dedicated to the distribution of fashion items and accessories.

March: opening of the last quarter of the renovated Terminal 1 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

April: acquisition of the Masternaut group by Hub Telecom.

May: end of the combination of the ground handling business that Alyzia began in 2008.

November: November: signing of the partnership agreements with GE Capital Real Estate for the use of the Continental Square real estate group.
