Tenneco

Tenneco, Inc. is a publicly traded company (NYSE: TEN) based in Lake Forest, Illinois, USA and manufactures automotive components original equipment and after-market ride-control and emissions products. Its predecessor companies, the Chicago Corp. and Tennesee Gas Transmission Co., were founded in circa 1930 and 1940 respectively. Historically, it operated natural gas pipelines and oil refineries, and operated a chain of gasoline service stations in the US from the 1970s to the mid-1990s. It sold off its oil business in 1988. The logo shown here is an obsolete predecessor to the current logo, which involves the company name and an arch above it.
