Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA)

This is the logo for the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA). ZEMA has a mandate to do all such things as are
necessary to ensure the sustainable management of natural resources
and protection of the environment, and the prevention and control of
pollution.

The Agency was created in 1992 following enactment of the Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Act (EPPCA) CAP 204 of the Laws of Zambia. In 2011, the Environmental Management Act (EMA) No. 12 of 2011 repealed and replaced the EPPCA.
