Aconica
creative lab for sound + art. Aconica is an agency for acoustic communication in the fields of culture, industry and research. We are a studio and laboratory as well as a creative workshop constantly working on commercial, artistic and independent projects. Our focus is on media-communication through sound without excluding other media. We provide our clients with comprehensive solutions for their products, ideas and projects in close collaboration with other disciplines.
Aconica grew out of the idea for a creatively competent network. Following years collecting experience in the audio sector, countless projects in various fields such as sound design, art production, audio engineering, sound branding, music production and research this was a logical step. Furthermore with the completion of the master of sound studies at the University of Art in Berlin, we recognized that the debate surrounding the medium of sound has much overlap with various areas of culture and science. Through contract work and participation in university and research projects we have established a large and competent network which feeds on such a diverse range of disciplines as architecture, city planning, journalism, interface design, philosophy and many more - all with a view to sound. So it was the obvious choice to create a platform which would allow us to unite all these areas of expertise in a project orientated way and thereby can draw on this knowledge base. We see Aconica as an agency for projects which offers, besides sound solutions for classical working methods, an interface for the integration of sound in a wider range of topics.
