Mango Tree Productions

Brief from client
Client is an event planner from the Caribbean based in New York and wanted something with a tropical feel.
Client loves the design, my problem is that I think it's too many colours. What do you think?
If you are thinking of reducing some elements and colors, I would remove that mango fruit and just make a simple 'o' in the shape of a mango with a stub connecting to a tree.
You might also consider simplifying tree graphic too (fewer leaves and using only one green color). Those 2 lines bracketing 'productions' are really not necessary, they just add to the busy look, remove them.
I'm no fan of making letters look like real-life objects, but that "T" as the trunk of the tree looks very good. Making the "O" look like a mango is too much for me.

If they like it you are home free.

Agree with the above.
Only other thing I can think of to simplify it is to remove the slight gradient in "mango tree".
First idea, don't show what you write. Try to think more laterally.
That sure is a mango of behemothic proportions.
