Brief from client
Here's the standard logo for our organization, The National Federation of Professional Trainers.
I don't think logos done entirely in Photoshop with gradients, bevels, reflections and other cheesy filters are a good thing and certainly not professional.
This orange color looks pretty washed & worn out. I presume icon on top represents flame, if it does, I am not sure why is it there?
The idea of washed out orange National Federation of Professional Trainers on fire is not very appealing.
Sorry, I think your logo needs a refresh - better creative idea and more professional execution
If this were executed better in a different color it would be ok. But, there is no real idea here- not sure what your symbol has to do with trainers, unless you train them for the Olympics..? Or you are lighting a fire under their a** ~ : P.
Just because some companies that use their logo strictly on the web do the gradient & reflection thing doesn't mean everyone should. It looks ridiculous in any print medium. (I think it looks silly all around.. a fad that will pass hopefully.)
I agree with the above- a new logo would be a good idea. Nothing about it right now is very pleasing, looks generic, and due to the color and bad effects it looks old and poorly executed.

Needs a good idea. Start over and sketch down dozens of ideas on paper before moving on to the screen.
