Club Italian into iRacing

Brief from client 

I made this logo for the italian club into the iRacing simulator (a racing simulator) http://www.iracing.com

We use this logo in our virtual cars since 2 years.
Design should be very clear because this logo could be used with a lot of different backgrounds.

Loose the cheesy background & I would loose the In HOC Signo Vinges in the logo.

Also work on closing the gaps through out the logo and make it more fluid

the cheesy background it's only for example in order to show where the logo is transparent.

Well, actually you decide that when the logo is ready for the decal printer/cutter. For that matter, frame the entire word "ITALIA" and save some money.

Move the Latin inscription to below "ITALIA" and make it readable.

The space where the needle is, fill it out too.

I'd rather see it as a perfect circle or with perfect perspective~ right now it's somewhere in the middle.

too much contour to this one.....and another common symbol sorry for that,..colors is ok but need to rework the outline its messy.
