Artes Graficas Panama

Brief from client
Identificador realizado para una nueva empresa de diseño grafico radicada en Panma.
CONS:
- In stead of mirroring your pencil just rotate it. it is harder to understand it mirrored.
-try to make the "panama" just a little bit bigger.
*EDIT: - i just saw it now but maybe you should position the symbol above, not in between the text. it takes the focus away from the title. You read Artes then stare at the symbol some time and it interrupts the flow.
PROS:
- i like the fact that you made the tip of the pencil another shade of black. people don't think about it but it notices and makes a difference.
-Using the text in italic is a good idea. i didn't know for sure if it was or not at first so i tried to document myself on the use of italics and this is what i found:
"Italic text tends to convey a lighthearted or playful mood. According to Lisa Silver, author of a guide to logo design, "italics suggest speed ... and convey flexibility." For this reason, italics are often used in logos for wedding photography to suggest flexibility and grace. Likewise, online magazines like "Speed & Sound" or "Redline" use italic logos to emphasize speed and mechanical precision."
Well done.
**EDIT: Now i see why you mirrored the pencil instead of rotation. The "P" from the symbol would have crossed with the "G" of the title. But if you take the symbol on top instead of between the text the problem would be solved. :D
I liked it. but preferred with a sans serif font. I agree with all that said kaosme, instead of mirroring tries to rotate the pencil. In any case it was PERFECT! Congratulations
I also agree with Kaosme. Pull the pencil up so the bottom of the A is lined up with the bottom of the letters.... UNmirror it and I think you're good to go!
