Brief from client

Just coming up with a new logo for myself.... This is version 2

I specialize in logo design, branding and marketing. This is a second version. I was asked to show more about what I do in the actual logo. So I've added the pencil to denote illustration and I've added a tagline.

Sorry no. The font is very dated (90's) and in this color it vibrates like those optical illusions where you see the little squares between the big squares. 'Brands Best Friend' is cool but there is a marketing company (Selmarq) already using it. Pencil is too literal and over used, way over used. You posted here so you have the drive, sell me that you are a designer and show a logo angle I've never seen before, go, do it now before it rains.

So far it looks like you are serious about making a good logo, I don't think it shows what you do, when i look at the logo I think of a cartoonist, Not a branding marketing designer. I would use some other colors and make everything a little more sleek and modern looking; the choice of font does have a out dated feel to it. You have a good start and you can tell you got the talent just make some tweaks listen to the comments and i think you will end up with a pretty Bad @$$ logo.

Simplistic and old idea.

The pen stands either for the L or the I, but not both.

Scratch this one.
