Brief from client
University project to create a logo for your own created power tools.
the design is Happy housewives, a logo inspired by 1950's designs. the product is also based on the designs of the 1950's. Both type and colors as well as construction is based on logos I've seen from that era.

please be brutal and honest, i really need the advice and help since i suck at logos and hate doing it!!!!!
I think you need a better idea, but it's decent.
botw say it all.
Okay, here comes a little bit o' harshness! :)
1.) It kind of screams Pepto! There's nothing wrong with pink per say, but man this is a LOT of pink, and the pink with the flesh-colored background is (if you ask my eyeballs anyway) kinda grody.
2.) The bow could be nice and definitely can be worked into the logo, but it needs a little more polish. I can't really tell where the edges of the folds are or anything- I think a thin stroke around certain parts of the bow would be very beneficial.
3.) I think you need to work on unifying the bow with the text, because as I see it right now, this is almost not a logo. It's some text (the font, btw- is fine I think- you could maybe find one out there that's more "50's housewife-y" but what you have works) in a flesh colored circle with a bow on it, you know?
At very least, I'd vote for finishing the bow up as previously mentioned and definitely think about changing the color of the background (if you still have a background when you make a new version) to something that's not fleshy!
Maybe you should consider starting over with everything other than the bow- just touch that up and then think of some other way to unify it with the text! Sorry to be so wordy!
thank you for the help, will be working on that. i appreciate the honesty
I like it... and yes Sara it must be pink, very pink!!! what do you expect for a 1950´s brand called happy house wifes? and yes! its a logo a 1950´s logo in the front door of a 1950´s shop.
Lauraj92 just try to clean the bow and turn it a bit or replace it for a cake, a white and pink cake of course
hmm yes a cake could work, i initially looked at a cupcake design, as the packaging for the products are cake tins. Thank you for the advice:)
