Brief from client 

The request was simple; a logo containing the word "V.I.P.", the name and web site of the academy and the organization that provides the certification.

Ouch! Sorry but this is really bad.

Never EVER use the bevel and emboss effect. And by the way, don't do logos on Photoshop. Use Illustrator.

The illustration as the I is old and cheesy idea. Scratch that.

There are way too many typefaces. Keep a maximum of 2, if they go well together.

Ditch the gradient.

The main word here is SIMPLIFY.

As mentioned in one of my other logos, thank you for your critique. I wasn't that familiar with Illustrator so I used Photoshop at that time. This is how I did it later with Illustrator. Yet, I do feel there is something wrong with it and I will try to do better "evolving" the logo.

Ok, so no bevel and emboss and absolutely no drop shadows! Especially with typefaces.
