Addicted To Software

Brief from client
It's a software development company.
They need a young and clean logo.
I tried to create something different, the client doesn't want a futuristic or machine looking logo...
The company name is Addicted to Software, so I was thinking about A2S as an alias....
Well the ideia is a clean shape that is similar to a cigarette, because of the addiction subject.
Just a scratch , but give me some opinion about colors and if the way is right or is too "heavy".
One last thing.......WHERE DO I PUT THE WORD SOFTWARE???(answer nicely :) )
Thanks!

Sorry, this doesn't say anything to me. I did not even recognize the cigarette... maybe a plus because cigarettes are getting less popular by the day. I think you should start over from scratch! (they don't sell quit smoking software, do they?)
Like Theo said, it dosn't do anything for me either. For starters, what is the company name? If it's "Addicted To Software" then the full name should appear. As far as a symbol, what kind of software do they make?
Thanks for the opinion, they make all kinds of softwares, from games to enterprise, that is my problem, i don't know which symbol to use...
I'm not a big fan of Bauhaus, it feels very outdated at this point. I'd also suggest you think less literally on the subject of addiction. Think about the kind of people that would actually be "addicted" to the software these people produce, I doubt a cigarette is appealing to this crowd.
A few directions I'd suggest:
Maybe make it grungy looking, sort of referring to a drug addict.
You could also make it more related to computer/software, like maybe a brain somehow technologified (yes I made up that word) to show that the person is addicted to the software, like a brain made of circuit boards, even though that may be what your client is trying to avoid.
I know these ideas may not be gold, but I'm just trying to help get those cogs turning in your brain.
No idea, too generic. Start over fresh.
poor, poor, poor... think about software, grids, circuits, algoritms etc...
The cigarette thing does not come through, I don't see a cigarette anywhere. The font is boring to me and not the well readable one. The colors are not well chosen, they are too close to eachother. There is no contrast, the text disappears. The reason you are looking for a place to put the software at is that you did not leave any place for it. You can't compose a part of the logo and than find a place for the other part. You have to handle all parts as a whole from the very beginning. Forget this thing and start from the scratch. And forget the cigarette idea, cigarettes are a negative thing nowadays.
