Brief from client
Logo for a design firm, with people whose heads "burn hot" with fresh, new ideas.
Warm colors are used to also signify a more warm/welcoming feeling, but not to make an aggressive appearance. Playing on words and poking fun at the widely used assumption of a "hot head'.

Love the icon. My only suggestion would be to increase the size of the type, the relationship between the 2 elements isn't quite right. Otherwise really good.
Very nice concept but my concerns are the font, believe me I struggle with fonts myself. Also the outline/stroke on both objects seems rather too big. I would decrease that and move the "fire" closer to the head and finally make it in proportion with the hole. Now it seems the fire is bigger than the hole but the image is saying its coming out from there...finally try both eyebrows and remove that side oval (white oval).
I appreciate your comment and everyone else's! However, and not to be ignorant in my choice, but honestly I think the font works quite well. It's not something too flashy and it's direct while still being fully legible. I decided to choose the font for it's boldness which compliments the thick outlines. Like Shawali said it's my signature "style" lol but I understand that some may not be a fan of it, which is why I try to get some variation in my other logos.
However as many have stated I fully agree that the "eyebrow" can be copied over. That line over his eye is actually an eye ridge not an eye brow, but since it's being taken as one I will totally go for two in the next version.
I don't see what the problem is with the font, it's totally cool.
My concern is with the symbol. I'm not a fan of how the flame looks like and I don't really get why it is separated from the head.
But it's funny because you really have a style of your own. As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew it was you =)
i like this! i think the font you've used is really nice and works well with the symbol. i like the way the flame/hair is away from the top of the head because it makes it look like he's blowing the top of his head off. i dont no why he's missing an eyebrow tho?! he also looks really evil which i think is a good thing and adds a bit of edge to your logo
Thanks! I have made some more revisions. perhaps a more realistic looking flame without the outlines.. played with the font as well.
edit: ignore the lack of evenness with the eyebrows.. will self-address that later.
i like the bottom left one best out of these. But im not sure whether i prefer the flame like this better or not!?! ill leave it up to you for which flame you prefer best :)
