Black Coffee Records

Brief from client
A nostalgic record store for the new generation of vinyl collectors.
I like this as a whole- and I see what M@ is talking about with the font- but it kiiiiiinda works (for me anyway!). The font looks sketchy and weird, but I think it clicks with the symbol. The only thing concerning me about the logo is how tall it is- but IF that winds up being an issue- you could just change the shape of the spilled coffee so that it's not quite so tall.
But all in all, I dig this. It looks a little unsettled, a little rough but I think it looks nice. I even like that the coffee cup looks really plain and (I keep using this word!) rough - it just fits.
Agree with M@, the font has to be changed to a readable one.
For me, the perspective of the symbol is a bit confusing, I think the upper right coffee stain/wave don't match to the LP's perspective.
Overall it is a good job.
awesome! I really impressed with this logotype, the idea and symbols be understand clearly, but i think that the typography, despite coincides with the idea, it will be dificult to read in the smallest versions of this logo, and dificult to be reproduced in serigraphy. it works in grayscale, but turn it small..."Black coffee what?"
Thank you guys for the input, initially when I chose the typeface I wanted it to look edgy and seem hand written to match the logo concept, but after reading your feedback and seeing it scaled down I agree that I will have to find something more readable. When I get a chance I will post some edits, thank you again for your comments. And regarding kisspolo's comment, I do see now how the perspective is out of whack lol

good job on this, just not sure about the font, something a bit more simple and easier to read may work better
excelente

For me some parts work. As a logo it doesn't work for me because on small size it looks like some sort of chemical spill (nuclear symbol).
Close up it just looks too big. Maybe use coffee bean and turn that into a record.
