Show clients something that represent a sign post or something like the sign is hanging from post.

I like the lines framing it to look like a sign, but I would lose the gradients and see how it looks from there.
The logo has various images depending on the product, print, web, etc.

Don't use gradients when your doing logos, unprofessional. Just use block colours. But for this logo if you use block colours watch the kerning. Take away the lines, they are not adding anything positive to your logo. And where it says sign post that needs to be more visible, as it is to small currently.
