Pacta

Brief from client

Magazine about International Rights

Pacta comes from "Pacta sunt servanta" which means - agreements are to be met. So I thought relating to blood pacts and wax seals which are very present in old official treaties, so I've done fake blood and put it out on a mold, and digitalized the result. What you think about it?

this is pretty cool, i would like to see the second A have different marks in them to really stand out as if it was a stamp. On another note i would say the font could be a hair bolder to have more strength and impact

I agree with Stephen here. They symbolism is great but you have to consider that this will be on the front of a magazine so it could use being bolder since it will be contending with whatever else is on the cover. Given your explanation about the blood pacts I'm finding this version more intriguing than your other version. Cool concept.

Maybe you could add a circle stamp in the A to reinforce that blood pact idea. Also, you could either use a different color (maybe a darker red so it can look like wax and blood) or use a shading or stroke that gives it that darker wax red.

i like this idea but i think you should try to get the idea across that its blood more clearly. you probably dont need to go CRAZY overboard with shadows and smears and highlights, but a subtle reminder that its a liquid sort of texture would be nice.

I like (watch out the kerning though) but I feel it's not finished yet. Can't be help but think something's missing. Maybe a wider tracking, I don't know.

This has potential. Keep it up!

For this one, I would give it all green thumbs. But on this condition: This magazine audience is for left wing idealist. Not a mainstream, underground, hardcore, things like that, which I don't know how to describe I hope you understand what I meant. (Imagine the people in the 70s movement against the US invasion to Vietnam kinda thing)

But if your audience is people wearing suit and tie, who play golf on regular basis, goes to church on Sunday, seating in an office, then this will not work.

I can not comment more on this since I don't have a slight idea where this logo is going. If you can elaborate more on the audience, then I can give more comments. Hope this attachment helps.

Good choice of colours and type. Explore with different backgrounds.
