Brief from client
This is a logo for a football supporters group.
I spent a good month and a half constructing this. Just wanted some feedback to gauge what kind of impressions outsiders get from it and what some of your critiques may be. I love feedback.

Well I say this is a month and a half well spent. This is looking pretty good.
I would tweak some details though. This is just me, but I would make sure that the crown doesn't look so symmetrical.
The kerning in GFU could be perected. The F is closer to the U that to the G.
I would also slightly tweak the curves of the ribbon bellow.
I'd like to see how the logo behave on a white background.
But overall, this is a pretty good job.
PS: you've been playing Saint Row III, haven't you? =)
Thanks for the feedback! What do you mean the crown shouldn't look so symmetrical in your opinion? Aren't crowns generally symmetrical?
I haven't played Saint Row, I'm assuming that's a video game? I can't remember where I got my inspiration, I think it was just looking at various shield designs.
No don't worry too much about the symmetrical thing. It's just that I prefer when it is not totally symmetrical, with slight difference between each side. It gives a more "human" feel.
And yes, Saint Row is video game kinda like GTA. Your logo made me think of it. Though I prefer yours =)
