Your clients requirements will never be met because they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. With the logo you've achieved corporate, but I would ditch the symbol, it's weak and generic. Definitely not creative or abstract.

I agree with Alexi, I feel you did well with the type style, but the symbol needs some work, either ditch it or try to elaborate on it to work and flow better

I like this logo. I'd remove the triangle on the i though, it's a bit redundant since there's already one in the symbol.
