just a logo i came up with being inspired by a shape i found
it's suppose to read as "vector prime" does that come through?

It does. But it shouldn't. I would not make that symbol a V. I don't like any of the typesets you tried to use on any of the versions. It looks really cheap. Lose the gradient and put the text below the logo with a better font. Its a modern logo. Try a nice sans-serif font. Try maven pro from losttype-co.
