I sense too much vibration in the font, as an institution i advise something more vertical, not rigid, serif font, but something more modern and with a inovative , tech feeling, pretty readable. The symbol seems fine , maybe the drops a little bolder, but fine.

Choosing a font is tricky, but once you got the point it should not be a hard thing. For example, if you got something dynamic and modern you should go with something very simple yet expressive ( a sans serif, curvy for example). If you go with something with aouthority, legal, medical you should preserve integrity and go with something sharp, elegant and more classic. Friendly means curvy and fluent....
You will see a lot of tutorials about what font to use but in fact is a mix between your feeling, a set of rules and what the client wants, so try not to use it as a recipe.

I agree with Hueroth about adding some weight to your symbol but, I have to say, the lines in the text are driving my eyes crazy. Is there any significance to the specific colors you have chosen?

I'm glad you had an answer for the color selection. It's a great sign that you have put though into this. As for the font, pick something solid. The lines in the characters are just distracting. The slab serif doesn't look terrible here. Try finding a solid modern looking slab serif or a sans serif that works with your symbol.

I don't really have much to add, but thank you very much for the invitation. I like the symbol as a way to evoke recycling without recourse to the usual clichéd images of triangle arrows or the planet Earth. The text is a bit challenging visually, but not so much as to prevent readability and reflects an obvious effort to be original. Good work!

Thanks for the invite, but I can't add much to what has been said above. I do like that you have put much thought into the color choices, direction of movement in the symbol, etc. It shows that you are really dedicated to making something that not only looks nice but has purpose!
Having said that, get rid of that font- it is spoiling it for you!

It helps me decide on fonts by looking at the symbol and its characteristics- yours is smooth, modern, etc so a san serif font would work well. Now go look for fonts that share those characteristics. I start with at least 5-10 fonts, place each one with your logo- you'll start to see what works well and what doesn't. Go from there! Good luck!

This is a great logo. Thank you for providing a brief.

The idea of the use/re-use represented by the colored "comets" in both directions is spot on. +1 for that.

I think the mark is so good that it's losing a bit of the spotlight by 2 reasons:

1. Too small. Maybe try to bump up the comets a bit, give them more weight.
2. The fancy, semi-ornamental typeface. Try using a simple typeface and let the mark do its thing.

Great logo man, good job.
