Carolina Hurricanes secondary logo proposal.

Brief from client 

Carolina Hurricanes is a professional hockey team that based in North Carolina. They do have a primary logo and recently announced that it will be a secondary logo mainly to go as a shoulder patch on their jerseys.

I decided to with a weather hurricane warning symbol and then incorporated " C " and " H " being a negative space to reflect on that iconic Hartford Whalers, as team that was a predecessor. Also, including my sketch here that was a base of this concept.

I see the H, I see the C.

If this is a mini emblem that goes on sleeves I think it is pretty cool.
Maybe try some colour versions using the team colours?

Thank you, Waffle. Yes, it is a shoulder patch aka mini emblem that some teams are applying on their uniforms.Team's colors are red, black, white.

It ist that "H", dynamic, aggressive and compact. It will work very well. I like it. Good job.
