I don't think it is "too" similar, it just have similar ideas but totally different execution and style. I think give client more variation of such ideas would be great. :-)
Sorry you feel this way. We are trying to be very fair and balanced. The standards dictated are high because of the clients. If we sell any logo with any technical issues we get hit with a chargeback and it's a pain for us and the designer. Thus logos need to be technically perfect among other things.
Sorry, I didn't mean it like how it sounds, and I don't really think that officially. I used the wrong word. Not harsh, it should have been choosy.
We just saw this logo evolve and liked it and were shocked it wasn't accepted. Seeing the other logo now that was already at the site, I can see why, they are similar.

I like the refined look compared to version 1.
This is how to refine things people!
Yes, I feel this addresses the giant loop de loop well. Great work!
thanks a lot guys! it is still rejected, I don't know what else, so I guess I just scraped this logo somewhere else
It was rejected at SL because it was too similar to another already uploaded logo.

Yes, Mediabistro Holdings owns both sites. I'm responsible for both. Let me know if I can help with anything.
