Brief from client
Didn't really get much of a brief but they want something better than they have on their business cards already.
So I went for my kind of favourite style for this logo and i think it suits the name well.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you :)

Logo reversed
just curious as to why you made the outside so light
So that it doesn't interfere with the name. If you can imagine a business card, the outside parts would probably be embossed with no ink then the lettering in colour. See example attached
I'll admit that on the white background version it does look a tad too light though! :)
I think this has a ton of great things going for it. I'm a sucker for vintage looking logos, I think your icon is well created, ( though the ridges on the handles kind of make it look like the turning stile on a pirate ship), and the font has some great embossing potential. SOME of the details might not be necessary, since I have a feeling they will not be noticeable when this logo is made smaller, but that's really up to your discretion.
However I have to agree, the extreme lightness of your icon might translate well on an embossed business card, but in other treatment it just fades away from the eye. I'd like to see a version with some awesome, deep color choices, and then see this one used for your embossed look.
Like the idea, but I think the pointy type doesn't match the stroke vector illustration... Also the keyhole looks a little loose, it could be more integrated to the background
Me likey! Another great logo by M@!
Just Found out that the name is meant to be just The Vault! arrgghhhh!! time to do some major editing! :)
That stinks- but maybe a blessing! I didn't critique because I couldn't put my finger on why- but the placement of "the" bugged me a bit. Maybe because it almost lined up with Bank- but not quite??? Idk- I'm sure you will find a kick ass way to revise =)
