I'm probably going to come across as a huge a-hole to you, but I really don't understand your approach here. Your business is designing corporate marketing collateral, corporate to me is high-end fortune 500 companies. If you are aiming for annual reports, marketing presentations and other high dollar design jobs, a mascot is not the way to go, I'm not sure why you want one. You've shown us a dove, hawk, parrot and a toucan, if you really desire a bird tied to your design identity I urge you to think less mascot and more design. Push the envelope and come up with something that will really make a potential client think you are above the rest, show them something that they haven't seen before. Maybe try going in a direction that isn't so literal.

On your type choices I think you really need to look beyond what came with your computer, again if you are hitting high end clients, look high end, research pre-computer classic font houses. If you want a business that will go beyond local mom and pop stores, research agencies and design houses that are where you want to be, and go a step further. Push yourself, you started to, but this looks lazy.

Yes indeed. I was going for a basic look but naah. Thanks fredrg. You are a good a-hole. :) I am going back to the previous version though. I think I can pull it off with a good font and less colors.

Guys idk. I was registering my domain name with godaddy and I saw the logo. Please explain to me how does that work. They are offering web hosting service and the logo is a clerky head. The service is good though.
My point is that sometimes people will appreciate your logo based on the quality of service rendered. Am I making sense?

It was "the look" in the 90s and they never re-branded. They really should, because they offer a great service.

In any case, don't let someone's bad work justify being complacent with your own.

I liked the previous bird better. This one just looks like two ovals and a triangle instead of an organic shape.

Huge step backward. This looks, in comparison, very lazy and rushed.

Yep. A huge step backward. :(

GoDaddy isn't a design firm though.

And to be honest here, their entire marketing scheme wasn't to be high end, and they came off really trashy and low end. I honestly thought they were a Hooters styled service when I first saw their ads. People enjoy their service, but they enjoy it for the low cost and convenience. Most higher end businesses with personal domains end up using companies like Google.

You are NOT offering low cost, low end product, and therefore shouldn't project yourself as such.

Point well taken

GoDaddy in recent years has also streamlined their logo tremendously, to keep up with current trends and make themselves look more professional, now that they have the clientele and the attention.

I still can't get pass the logo but the font does make it look a little professional.
