Brief from client
Slash films is a film production company that helps rent out film equipment and produce film. The company wanted a updated logo from their old Arial typeface. They a wanted a logo that could go on vinyl stickers, business cards, and their equipment.
The client wanted a logo that conveyed their "thrilling" excitement for working with clients in film production, but nothing that seemed to be dangerous

I am not certain you need the iris behind slash films. I think it works just fine alone. Why is there an extra line in the opening of the A?
I absolutely agree with the above comment.
Kill that distracting symbol, the type you have going on is sick and memorable on its own.
I also agree the 3-D effect in the A is also distracting, as it doesn't appear on any other letter.
Great job, just trim it back a little.
I'm really not feeling that aperture symbol, which generally relates more to photographers than filmmakers.
Also, I'm pretty sure there are already a whole lot of "slasher" logos with the word mark slashed... For me, it's the very first thing anybody would think about. This is the very first logo that came out when I googled "slasher logo". You need to think beyond the obvious, that how your creativity will be measured.
Overall, this is way too literal. Keep sketching ideas on paper until something really cool an unique comes up.
Keep it up!
oh wow. Shame on me, I didn't research at all, i just thought the type mark would be decent on its own.
