Freight First
Brief from client
Freight First is a intermediary freight broker, connecting companies that have freight to move to companies they have vehicles to move the freight from A to B. They specialize in finding optimal routes for sensitive cargo, and they wanted a logo that represented trust and security to give customers the feeling their cargo is being handled professionally. They also didn't mind if I used a "1" to replace the word "first" in logo. They also didn't care about something fancy, just something to convey their idea.
In this logo I used the negative space in the "f" to create a "1" this allowed for me to make a mark that incorporated both parts of their name. I also placed a circle around the mark to provide a sense of the company's goal of "security", and I used a modern san-serif typeface to give it a professional look.

I like the idea, but it reads as "i" and not "1" to me. Also, consider simplifying your logo (it's usually good to simplify). Remove unnecessary details. One more thing: Optically, the symbol is not well aligned within the circle.
The idea of using the negative can be really cool but the output is generally pretty poor.
First thing: get rid of all those useless strokes. They don't bring anything to the plate, they just make things more complicated than they need to be.
I agree, I would simplify it to one color and get rid of all the strokes. At a small size they won't really have the same effect.
