Brief from client
Company name is Leslie family tree. They develop cannabis strains and sell the seeds as well as the flower.
Customer wants to stress genetics. trying to avoid typical cannabis imagery I am questioning the legibility. Image will tile or form chains in 2 different patterns and is the same upside down

Regarding legibility, it doesn't work. Looking at this, it didn't occur to me there was something to read.
This would work better as a symbol, with a wordmark.
It looks like the shape has been squashed and the pointy spikes look a bit like tentacle which gives a kind of aggressive feeling. Probably not what you would expect for this kind of business ;)
I think with a bit more work and simplification, this could work.
