Blue Cafe and Bakery
So this logo is extremely old, and needs a lot of help. This was originally done for a friend who was starting up a Doctor Who/Sci Fi inspired bakery. He loved it, but I think it can use some help. Any ideas?

I think this needs a complete overhaul. For a café and bakery, I find the whole thing not appealing. It's cold and dated to me. The circuitry type of pattern says more "Radio Shack" than "Central Perk" =)
I'm not a fan of Doctor Who, but I don't really see how it relates to the show. Maybe with the phone booth/time machine thing.
I mean get this.
He wanted the color of doctor who. a cup. the star trek logo shape. and something from a computer dashboard.
I had only been designing for maybe.....5 months when I made this? I have to agree the type on the subhead is dated, for some reason I used Dito.
A coffee/tea cup looks weird and out of concept here without any real purpose. I do love a name " BLUE " - all you need is to find a right choice of a font for that name. Your text here with a subtext with a good choice of font(s) would be a strong enough message without any symbol. Elements from computer dashboard or mother board reminds me people when they bow down to their master. I think with a different font with some texture and well executed composition - would definitely improve your concept here. Good luck.
WTF is this? No idea what's going on. Too complicated. It has no meaning. So many lines, circles, cuts, separations...looks like you went crazy on this one.
Bariqo, what does WTF stands for? Is it for White Tall Female?
Nah for real I got lost in the logo. I'm referring to the logo not at anyone including designer. Just the feeling I got from the logo. Lost.

I mean great, but the only person who gave me any feedback was Shawali and Bubla. I asked for feedback because I know this is bad...so don't reiterate that. Give me ACTUAL changes I can work with.

There is just too much going on. If they want a geeky sci-fi coffee house logo, then go for it. You just need to focus on one sci-fi image. It can't be a bunch of different franchises.
Just make the best Doctor Who inspired logo you can and ditch the rest!

The subtext is way too small and the color doesn't work with the other blue you've used. The cup needs to be refined, not sure what are the lines and the circles in the cub btw?
