Wants a seal, and has to reflect both music and theatre.
This logo is for the Louisiana Tech University School of the Performing Arts 25th Anniversary. It has to reflect both music and theatre and be designed as a seal. The music lyre in this image is reflective of a design element on the performing arts building.

I think the typo is a bit confusing. Maybe a tall one but geometrical. :)
I agree with the above comment. Too confusing and hard to read. With a brand name that long, you can't afford to use such a narrow font, let alone typed around a path.
I find this to be too clean, too neat beside the very complicated and hard to get symbol. It could use some more grit for a cool vintage look.

Yes, I agree about the font. In fact they decided on a different one, but I forgot to change it before posting. The reason I used it in the first place was because they wanted to use an art deco font. And unfortunately, no grit allowed - they want traditional so it will appeal to alumni of the university.
It is a good start! But, yes, the font needs to be changed. Tough, I m curios what is the name of the font?
