Brief from client
I am free to do whatever I want. As you can tell, it's a logo for a company that will stand for auto parts.
This is my favourite one. Is the retro style back? :D
yes now we are talking! this looks great, and the retro feel is definitely back! I think your on to a winner here, Great Job! :) one little thing i would adjust is to make the outside border the same gap from the black inside line the whole way round. its fine on the bottom and sides but the top part is bigger.. i hope you can see what i mean
Honestly, I like the logo, but not for a car parts business. It seems too "boutique", like a business without much merchandise on the walls. It just feels a little too clean for me. I know cars, and it gets messy. Have you tried adding some grunge? I think it would add a little character.
In terms of the encompassing shape, you should really take your inspiration from the front or back end of classic/oldschool cars. Think Ford Model T for example. Iconic front grill and headlights. I say you find the car that inspires you most and you use it. Truly timeless cars are timeless for a reason...and thats their design.

Heres another tip for your dashed line for an extra piece of perfection:
You are right! Thank you SO much for your helpful feedback, I really appreciate!
no problem :) the more i look at your logo the more i like it!
You put me a big grin on my face. :D
good work!
just perfect
Thank you, all. How do you think it looks on this mock up? :D
Love the logo but this mock up looks weird. Where did you get it? It looks weirdly raised.
Ya, I don t know why. I tried to adjust it but...
Got it from blugraphic.com.
this's good
I like the idea behind this logo but I'm not feeling the shape, kinda like a squeezed in coffin.
Have you tried a simpler shape, like a circle? Would be even easier if you want to make a patch out of it (which you should)
Ya, lol. I didn't think about a coffin. I didn t use a circle because a shape with some corners with more "mechanic" ?

I mean look at this sexy grill. If you sharpen the corners a bit I think you could be on o something.
