The Happy Lamb Meat packing Company

Brief from client
We are seeking both a brand name and a logo in this contest. Both elements should invoke the idea that the products are premium, natural, healthy, and pure. The "raised without antibiotics" and "no added growth hormones" attributes are central to the brand. The brand may not use words that refer to a specific geographic location (i.e., Rocky Mountains, Colorado, or USA).
I came up with 'The Happy Lamb Meat packing Company' along with a clean, friendly and strong logo emphasizing the natural and healthy requirements of the brief. The logo is very versatile and will work across the media spectrum, in one colour or full colour applications and remains instantly recognizable when scaled down.

Alternate version... With a heart - which I felt didn't add anything even though it was a nice touch (maybe) ;)
Single color version/no shadow...
Awesome job Jon! i really like it, it took me a second or two to see the lamb but now everytime i look at it i see it! the mock ups are all great as well! good luck in the contest!
Not baa-d. :)
Nice mock-ups, I like the versions without dimension lines.
Awesome job! I wouldn't use the heart version, personally. I think it's more distracting and steals a bit from the b-ewe-tiful concept you have going on here.
Thanks all - as always! Love the puns too! Glad Shaunea and unterm rad mentioned the dimension/shadow lines. I agree that the design is better without, so i'll leave them out. Cheers!
I didn't see the eyes at first.
Now that I do see them, I wonder if they are needed.
Something to consider.
Really? I always reduce and reduce and reduce things down as much as possible and didn't even think about the eyes.
You might be right. I'll give it a go. thanks.
I did not see the eyes at first, I thought the were flags, but in a minute I released. I agree with the shadow lines.
I like how the bottom line makes it look like a happy lamb!
Good luck with the contest.
Hi Jon,
How did you get on with the competition? I'm a Devon farmer looking for a innovative new brand and came across your entry. I wondered if we could discuss further?
