Brief from client
Simple Modern photography logo. Had to have the 12, F in the logo. Not sure the meaning of 12 F the client never said.
Its been along road to get it this simple. The client wanted a crazy logo. and for me to modernize it. Having no luck I started giving him examples of things I think would look good. This is where I landed so far.

Do you have the freedom to arrange the 12 & F? Can it be F12? 1F2? or top bottom?
I don't understand the blocks arrangement with the 12. I'm sorry, but this design is not modern and simple to me.
Well the name of the company is "12"(twelve)F Photography. If you have suggestions on how to arrange it so that the 12 still looks together and read as 12 then F. It would be greatly appreciated. And the colors are also what they say. Grey and Golden Yellow.
Theres alot going on here my friend, i hear your client sounds to be a toughy.
This needs to be simplified even more, maybe keep the negative numbers but lose the extra box, change the tagline font. try to keep it minimal, your prospective client has around 2 seconds to look and love the logo and for me i was like whoaaa.....
