Waffles, I showed this concept to my daughter last night and she said that she reads " ncurn", too.
That is the power of the brain!
Fun fact: Most people read words in one go, as opposed to each letter, mainly by seeing the first and last letters, the shapes in the middle, and quickly filling it in. So, as long as all of the letters are all in there and the shapes are close, the brain auto-corrects errors.

This is why editing text is so hard with just your eyes, and why sometimes neat ideas with logos, or words at all, can fall apart. Blame the brain, helping!
