As Fred and Waffles pointed out, the Æ combination isn't working, not only because it can be misconstrued for the glyph, but also because they're italic. They appear awkwardly combined into one.
Everything else is okay, but the symbol needs a rework.
Maybe try to work an apple into the logo, and perhaps a snake? The result of that encounter led people to the urge to cover and clothe themselves. Just a thought.

Æ has a very different meaning than A&E, could you give some context as to why you are using the ligature?

We all understand that, the point I (and others) tried to make is your logo reads Æ. Æ has a very different meaning than A&E
I would never thing that an A+E that close together stood for A+E and not Æ.
It is a start though, but that gray is way too light for a white background.
This is not a ground-breaking logo, but it works, besides maybe the fact that you have too many fonts.
