It's a good start, but you need to spend more time on the symbol. I have no idea what's that thing behind the anchor and how it relates to the subject at hand. There's also too much going on, it's way too complicated.
Not a fan of the choice of colors. Dark blue on black isn't very striking, it lacks contrast and it's pretty dull.

I thought it might be two fire hydrants, but it isn't.
I agree, the use of colours is a little bland, the typography is nice and solid though.
I like the use of the sprinkler as part of the logo, it's an interesting idea.
I'm struggling to figure out what the black shape is too.
It's a ceiling water sprinkler.
Actually, on reflection the logo is pretty clever. The anchor makes the shape that the water would as it passes through the sprinkler head.

That's stretching it a bit. If I were a betting man i'd say that it's a happy accident ;)
I think that the symbol must be more simple to make the customer remember it quickly
