Brief from client 

I am the organizer of the Coalition and as we have no $ I have to create the logo.

We are in West Texas and this is a BRAND NEW Coalition. I'm sure it's a little pedestrian but I gave it my best shot

Too complex, the idea is confusing. Too many styles of illustration. Colors are boring. The text is way too small compared to the symbol. You know this doesn't work, so I'm just confirming your idea.
