The symbol is nothing to get crazy about but it totally makes sense (A + mountain) and does the job.
Now, the word mark is way too long and complicates things. The focus should be on Arete, which is what makes this particular company unique. I'm sure there are plenty of other company with "inspection LLC". You should center Arete and have "inspection LLC" below, in a smaller size.
Also, for the sake of simplicity, get rid of the brand's claim. It shouldn't be part of the logo. It can be added in a specific context, but should be integral to the logo. Also be careful, the elements are not perfectly center aligned.
Overall, I find this logo a bit dated and dull, especially with very boring shade of blue. It doesn't have much umph as it is.
