I would like to address your comments first. More than once, you have posted a design and said in the description something to the effect of "here is my design and it's really good". If that is what you think, why are you here?

In your description here you add that you want to make a few modifications to this one. I say good idea.

The font is completely inappropriate for a church, unless people attend through some form of virtual reality. That is the only reason I can think of to use a futuristic font for a church. Highlights, gradients, and drop shadows only take away from a good logo design (or are used to hide a bad one). The Genesis tag is almost unreadable at this size, so good luck if you were ever to use this at a smaller size.

There is no idea behind your design. If asked why you used a big glowing oval for a church logo, would you be able to give well thought out answers and explanations?? You used a big glowing oval for the logo of your sign shop. Are they so closely related that you would use the same symbol for both? My guess is that you just learned how to make big glowing ovals.

There is a big difference between being able to use design software and being a designer. And in saying that, I am not saying that I am a great designer. But, knowing that I have a lot to learn is why I will get better.

If you come to a CRITIQUE site and tell everyone that your design is good, OR get mad when someone says that it isn't.... you aren't here to learn.

I have learned a lot from this site. I have learned from the critiques of my designs and from critiquing other's work. I have also learned from seeing what I thought was good/bad about a design was not necessarily correct. There are people on here who don't like Splash's critiques. But- I have learned more from him than anyone else on here. He is harsh, but he is usually right.

I have directed all of this at you and maybe I should not have. My intention was not to be an a--hole. My intention is to say to you and everyone else who approaches this site without humility--- there is a LOT for EVERYONE to learn.

I think this site is a great resource for that.

Churches have so much interesting symbology. Yet you use nothing. You need a better idea and less effects.

Since latino community on BOTW showed that they really hate my guts and care only about favorable comments from their own circle I will refrain from posting anything except rating here.

Jesus Dueñas. After reading G13Design's comments all I have left to say is that you must read his comments until you learn them by hearth.
