Brief from client
A Housing Company in Mexico focused on low and medium income buyers.
Previous logo was in blue and green, and did not differentiate from competitors. "Auge" means prosperity and Hogar means "home" in spanish. The slogan "Vive en Auge" means "Live in prosperity". This is just a preview I have been working on, I will appreciate comments on how to improve it.

You can loose the shadow. your logo will do better without it
Unfortunately, I don't see anything really working with this logo.
The font work is pretty weak, especially that terrible scripted type. The kerning is off. The symbol looks like it's been done in 2 minutes flat. The general composition is way off balance.
And Mahayni is right, get rid of that terrible and useless drop shadow effect.
