Of the three versions, I like this one best. However, I would consider putting the kerning back to it's natural state. the Rs look too far away from the O to make it read as one word.
I don't mind the color, but I would go for something more warm, or more cold - something that gives the feeling of dawn - the warmth of it or the crisp cool of it. Currently, this looks gold/metallic on screen and doesn't invoke the properties of nature you are trying to appeal to with the cropped O.
Also, consider bending your invisible horizon line - meaning, don't crop your O with such a hard straight line. I question what it would look like if the horizon was curved, like a hill? Making it so each end of the O's crops would be a little more sensitively designed, rather than a stiff crop.
It would be nice to have some more info about the client, so i can offer a more complete analysis.
I like the idea, typography is ok but i would let the kerning on the "o" sides equal, same as the other letters.
I think you should down the "o" to the bottomline, so you can give the impression of continuity, as if it were rising on the horizon. The way it is now, i feel like the rest of it was chopped out.

I like it but color is not the best choice for this. Try with "cold" palette. Good Luck!!!
