Brief from client
They wanted the same look, monkey and typefaces, I rebuilt it and gave a bit newer look to it. Also we need to keep 6 or fewer colors in order to screen print the t-shirts (excluding white). Additionally, the colors are a bit brighter than the inks will be.

Well i like it, it's funny, love the monkey with the ice cream, (It was made by yourself?) the only thing i dont like is the font on the ice cream cafe and on the slogan, that font is really ugly ;P
I am not the original designer, but the logo looked to me like it was done a long time ago. I agree about the Curlz font, but the owner is a girl and loves it, so I have to give them what they want. Thanks for the comments!
This is way too much to look at. Try removing elements: the circle around the type, outlines, etc. and bringing everything together a bit more. It's a shame they are making you use those typefaces...
Here are two new ideas I came up with, I think the client will want the older logo for the most part, but to me these ones (or something similar) will make great chest prints.
The second one is definitely headed in the right direction.
Thanks! Like I said, the colors are super bright on screen, the inks will be a bit richer and less obnoxious. I kind of enjoyed the old "Banana's" typeface so I played with it, and the second one was a similar thickness which looked a bit fun too.
adding a banana might be fun too if you had the time :p
I love the idea! I saw the new logos without the blue oval background and really like the changes!
The top one has a lot of open space, so I feel it could benefit if you shrunk the oval vertically down and beefed up the inner font to it fills the space better.
The lower two look fantastic! Only think I can say about them is for the sake of new customers, it might be a good idea to add the works Ice Cream Cafe under the word banana's in small font so people know what "banana's" is, lol!
Otherwise, great work! keep it up!
Sorry, this doesn't work for me. It looks like a bad logo from the 90's. White, yellow and bright blue, the perfect mix to blind people.
hi jbrunerse. Let me tell you a little secret eheheh, when I have to do something that my client wants, and I know that will not work... I do it, I post it here, and ask him to see the comments... eheheheh. Tell your client that business is business Curly type in the logo will not result... If you want I tell her that ahahahah. I like your second version with out the blue circle, and i like the thecuraga version also, but if I were you I vertical mirror the banana. Sorry for my bad english... today I to tired to use google translater ahahah ;)
lmao! Thanks, man. Here is where I am at now. We tried a few new types but she insists on the Curlz font lol. Mainly because the business has a lot of signs made already and they don't really want to rebrand everything anytime soon. Thanks for the comments!
