Brief from client
The owners wanted a logo for their brewery based off one they designed themselves. They wanted a more established look that kept the elements of the current logo (barley and a lantern).

you should not cross the symbol with the banner. it looks a little bit messy. also you can try to make the lanterns base smaller slightly then the top. itlooks rigid.
for the rest i think you did a good job.
Not a fan of the main typeface but I am a fan of everything else.
My opinion is: change the "Barley Mow" font, 'cause it does not lie on the curve, especially the A and the R.
This lantern looks pretty simple, can you change it to another?
Drop down the banner to the lower third (or the bottom) of the lantern then modify the angle of the barley

I like what I see here. The Banner is a bit big and obscuring the lantern, and the typeface could be better, but I like the overall effort. Show more lantern and a better typeface and you're there.
